Hi Gabriel,
Please try running xev again, to give Sebastien the information he needs.
Try these steps:
1. Run xev
2. Click in the Event Tester window, to provide focus.
3. Hit your backspace button. You should see a "KeyPress event" followed
by a "KeyRelease event".
Please attach the output of xev to this bug.
