same problem here when my screen goes to idlr after reboot screen saver wont start un less i go in and rest idle time on screen saver then it will work again i have an emachine with a nvidia G force 6100 Nforce405 and a amd sempron proccessor i dont know if it would have any thing to do with graphics card or proccessor but it is annoying to have to reset it every time i have to reboot im running ubuntu hardy on kernel 2.6.24-21 generic im new to ubuntu but i like it this machine originally came with vista when i bought it 2 months ago i could not stand it so i did a clean install with only ubuntu on it like i said everything works exept screensaver bug and suspend it comes back with no sound but thats another issue does any body have a work around for the screen saver please let me know thanks john
