** Attachment added: "Sending EMail Options"
   http://launchpadlibrarian.net/17313991/Screenshot-Account%20Editor.png

** Summary changed:

- Evolution uses local Postfix rather than SMTP to deliver mails
+ Evolution delivers mail directly rather than configured mail server

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: evolution

I am using Evolution on Hardy. I have setup SMTP to a specific
(external) mail server for sending mails.

- Nevertheless, Evolution somehow sends the mail to a locally running
- Postfix (via sendmail?), which in turn delivers it to the recipient's
- mail server. The configured mail server is not used at all.
+ Nevertheless, Evolution somehow sends the mail directly to the SMTP
+ server of the recipient. The configured mail server is not used at all.

I am checking the "security vulnerability" checkbox because sending
confidential mails via a different mail server than what's configured
can easily become a security problem.
