OK, thanks. As a minor correction, though, the issue is not as you stated in the most recent note, "only a result of what you are dragging to (the list view)" but is just the opposite... the issue is dragging FROM list view TO a browser. The error does not happen using icon view.
Probably an important distinction, and the thing that makes it different from the other bug report as far as I can tell (which WAS about dragging TO list view, which I am not doing at all).
