Binary package hint: login

Had to manually add the option to get 1280x800 with nvidia-glx-173 to
xorg.conf. After having done so, the screen resolution reported under
Screen Resolution under System>Preferences is irrelevant, (i.e. whatever
it's set at seems to have no effect on the actual resolution - i.e. it
can read 1280x800, and the screen itself is in 1024x768). Instead, I
have to use the Nvidia X Server Settings app under System>Admin to set
the actual resolution.

So, after setting resolution to 1280x800 with Nvidia X Server Settings,
(and adjusting System>Preferences>Screen Resolution also to 1280x800,
just in case) the GDM login window displays a 1280x800 screen, but
itself is only in 1024x768, so the login box is not centered, but down &
right, and I can't access the Options menu at all. Logging off has same
effect - it's as if the screen resolution setting, (either of them)
isn't talking to whatever sets the login screen, (as well as not talking
to itself - see Nvidix X vs. Screen Resolution).

Can still login, and can reset to 1280x800 after logging in, so not a
deal-killer by any stretch, but still should be fixed.
