Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

"gnome-screenshot" fails to take a screenshot of the entire desktop, it only
takes screenshot from the active window (the behaviour which should only apply
when using ALT+PRTSCR).
The problem is caused by the "gnome-screenshot" binary, which also takes a
screenshot from the active window when run from the terminal.
I guess the binary takes the '-w' option (which alters gnome-screenshot's
behaviour to take a screenshot of the active window) now is always active.
