Public bug reported:

Affects: gthumb (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I've got a Canon 30D (USB PTP mode), and I'd like to be able to use
gthumb to pull RAW mode files off the device when it's connected, rather
than having to resort to gphoto on the command line. This could then
allow me use gthumb to automatically prompt for import of files, without
duplicating effort to get the RAW files off with gphoto.

It'd be nice if a thumbnail could be displayed (eg: using dcraw), but if
they can't it's no real problem - the problem is more getting the files
off the device. Perhaps instead of a thumbnail of the pic in question
simply a "This file format cannot be displayed" icon or something
similar to that effect.

Currently using Breezy, but I'm willing to try special builds or
backports to test this sort of functionality.
