Dudes, I'm with you back again, sorry it took me some time, but I want to report that this issue *WAS NOT FIXED*, for some reason (proabably some configuration on my display) the Switch user screen worked, but after some time the problem came back again...
WORK-AROUND: 2 actually: 1. When the screen is blank (dark with few vertical and horizontal dotted lines for my case) hit the escape button until you listen the Ubuntu error sound, then blindly enter the user and password. 2. Don;t user "Switch user", LOGOUT current User and then LOGIN with new one.
