I am not quite sure what more examples you are asking for. However, this bug was reported a long time ago, and I must have been using the Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 pre-release beta. I am now using 8.04.1, and instead of using the Opera browser to load MHTs (I haven't even installed it) I am using Firefox with the UnMHT extension (5.0.0).
For whatever reason, the original bug has disappeared. If I double-click on an MHT script, it is displayed perfectly by Firefox, and if I double- click on a Rebol .r script, it is displayed by Rebol View. There is no more interference between these associations. The original confusion of file associations may or may not have had something to do with my use of Opera to display MHTs, I don't know. However, you must excuse me if I say that it is not worth (in my case) the trouble of re-installing Opera (that I currently have no general use for) in order to find out. -- Interference between file/program associations https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221026 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
