Public bug reported:
I just installed a fresh intrepid RC and then installed xchat-gnome via
synaptic. The icon in the gnome terminal was blank (unknown icon). There
is nothing in the terminal log that indicates any sort of error:

When I restarted the panel everything was normal (normal icon etc). I
then tried the same with xchat and that showed up in the menu correctly
(with the icon).
But for epiphany-browser the menu entry was missing entirely until I
restarted the panel.
