The pointer capture applet causes apps and tasks that rely on keyboard
shortcuts to stop working properly.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on pointer capture applet
2. Press alt+f1 to access the gnome menu && keyboard stops working here
1. Click on pointer capture applet
2. Press super+space to access gnome-do
3. Gnome-do starts very slowly and doesn't accept keyboard input
** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu)
