Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
It happened during the hardy -> intrepid upgrade with Synaptic.
1. Launch the upgrade.
2. Lock the screen
3. Wait. At some point, synaptic will ask you questions and wait (overwrite
conf files and restart services). But you will not see it.
4. The screen lock doesn't disappear if you type your password. It seems to be
looking for it indefinitly.
Workaround : go to console and killall gnome-screensaver.
