Public bug reported:

Thought I submitted this bug a few weeks ago but can't find it now. Was
happening with Hardy Heron on two different computers. When returning
to a locked screen and entering a password, the screensaver dialog box
dims out (as if it is processing), but it never returns. Have to ctrl-
alt-f1 and log into a different terminal to kill the "gnome-screensaver"
process. Then I can switch back to the f7 screen and try again. It is
not reproducible by any means I am aware of. Just seems to happen a few
times a week.

** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
