Public bug reported:

Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Wishlist
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Confirmed

Description:
When I click System->logout user (translated from german ;)) the beautiful
dialog come, and the background become nicely grey..
This is very nice, but when I run my machine over xdmcp it slows all. I found a
key in the gconf-editor: /desktop/gnome/interface/enable_animations
In the description somebody write: This key is global...
But when I disable this key, the animation with the shoutdown dialog even
appears...

I think this is a bug. The shoulddown dialog should look if this key is set and
then make this beautiful animation or not.
Same think for gksudo...
