Did a bit more digging. This is an open report from a few years ago. Personally it's a bit irksome that it hasn't been dealt with -- especially since using metacity it is impossible to do a presentation on a second head in GNOME - in effect making GNOME unusable for a dual-head presentation setup. In GNOME it is bug 145503 and from there a link exists for a patch that a guy applies up through FC5 to correct the behavior. I am not at a place to try the patch - nor do I know how to extract it from an .rpm source file. The link is: http://www.vislab.uq.edu.au/research/accessgrid/software/fedora/related/
Is there any hope of such a patch - like in multiverse as maybe a metacity-xinerama package? This would be very helpful to laptop users like myself :) Thanks for your time! -- Metacity mistakenly opens Impress presentation on primary head of dual head setup https://launchpad.net/bugs/43582 -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
