Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Nautilus repeatedly crashes when building thumbnails and runs out of
memory. In one case I have a folder with about 600 jpegs, each about
1mb. It does OK with thumbnails at 100%, but at 200% you watch the
memory climb and then the swap and then it crashes when it runs out. In
another case, I have a folder of 130 movies around 1 GB each. Same
thing happens - just faster. I just upgraded and am running 8.10.
