You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Symptom: Any GTK program will crash when using the file dialogue to
choose a directory which is not listed in .gtk-bookmarks.

To reproduce this bug: (on Ibex or any other Version) choose Romanian as the
default language (may work with other languages as well). Launch some GTK file
dialogue (for example gedit -> open/save) and choose a directory which is
neither listed in .gtk-bookmarks, nor in the side pane. The program will crash
with a segmentation fault.
This worked for me on a fresh install of Ibex, but I have encountered this bug
already two years ago and just didn't know how exactly to reproduce it, nor how
to avoid it. I am glad for any help or hint on where this bug may come from.

Workaround: Choose another language, English for instance, as the
default language of your system and everything works fine.

Note: For speakers of most European languages it should not that
difficult to deal with a Romanian Gnome Interface for a few minutes,
especially if you know French, but English will do as well :-)
