Hello, Gnome's keyboard-indicator applet, has a hidden feature, which allows countries' flags to be shown instead of simple text such as "us". The option is availabe via gconf: /apps/gswitchit/Applet/showFlags This feature can enhance the usability for the gnome desktop alot in my opinion. It's quite difficult most of the time, to locate the applet with your eyes, so you need to search for it. Using a flag image helps finding it almost immedietly. The main problem with this feature is that the flags are missing in the default Icon theme (or any other theme). So the user has to download it himself (and edit the images so they will be in the correct dimensions). Flags can be downloaded from here: http://internap.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/sodipodi/sodipodi-flags-1.6.tar.bz2 ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: Confirmed -- Keyboard indicator flags are missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/80702 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
