Intrepid is already using gnome-session 2.24.1, which should have fixed
your issues (I can't check at the moment whilst I'm at work):

gnome-session (2.24.1-0ubuntu1) intrepid; urgency=low

  * New upstream version:
    - Add GTK and GNOME categories to session-properties.desktop
    - Fix leaks
    - Rename variable to avoid symbol conflict
    - Fix padding and spacing, and make the dialog resizable in
      gnome-session-properties
    - Make the strings appear translated in gnome-session-properties

Are you sure you're not already running this version? Have a look at the
output of "apt-cache policy show gnome-session"?

Anyway, I'm going to close this bug report, as what you've requested has
already been done. If you have any specific issues with gnome-session,
please open separate bug reports for these issues.

Thanks
