there is indeed a second problem with the Junk plugin. I've just experienced it before I read your message ! The junk filter moved 1300 messages from the inbox to the Junk folder !!! What is going on with Evolution ???? But unfortunately it's not the only problem and has nothing to do with what I described in my previous post. Can we focus on the first problem ?
Evo version: 2.22.3.1 on Hardy with one imap account. You cannot really see the issue with CAMEL_DEBUG=all. I attached it anyway. Lines are printed out when I browse all other folders but nothing is printed out when I click on the 'sent-mail' (the folder in with the issue).
