Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-accessibility
If the box labeled "Show position of the pointer when Control key is
pressed" is checked in the Mouse preferences panel, the Ctrl key on the
keyboard can only be used for showing the position of the mouse and
doesn't work in any applications.
I have a Adesso keyboard model MCK-91.
I am using Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10 64 bit.
I replicated the issue by trying with the box checked and unchecked
several times. When the box was checked I was not able to use the Ctrl
key, for example, to switch tabs in Firefox.
