Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp
use search tool in Ubuntu Help for Server 8.10 (Intrepid Ibis?) after upgrade from 8.04 desktop. Search results returns 3 choices 1st choice is "Ubuntu Server Guide" Click on light blue highlighted text -leads to details about LAMP (section 2.2.1 - package tasks) -go back to 3 choices page click on bottom link "Repeat the search online at the _Ubuntu Help Pages_" (area between underscores is highlighted in blue) points to link address "http://search.ubuntu.com/help?os=ubuntu&ver=8.04&q=LAMP" opens up new browser window, (firefox is default) http://search.ubuntu.com/help?os=ubuntu&ver=8.04&q=LAMP but gives HTTP 404 error - file not found. Possible solutions A) change link in help file to point to correct space on server B) put logical - re-direct virtual link in failing path C) put copy of same information at link destination Hope this helps, [EMAIL PROTECTED] ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/yelp NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: yelp 2.24.0-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: yelp Uname: Linux 2.6.27-9-generic i686 ** Affects: yelp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- documentation - help for Ubuntu 8.10 Server has broken link https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303784 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to yelp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
