Here is the backtrace. some notes - The USB is mounted as /media/disk - During the freeze of Rhythmbox, I pressed ctrl-c in gdb - If I wait until Rhythmbox finishes reading the USB, I can press the arrow next to the name to see the contents of the USB drive. It seems Rhythmbox indexes all files and folders, instead of only looking at the subdir 'Muziek/' as I specified in the .is_audio_player. Maybe the delay is caused by this massive indexing? On the USB disk, there are 13,830 files with 1.2GB in use.
