Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
1 - Open a gnome terminal
2 - Click on Edit / Profiles ... Change the default profile, close.
4 - Open a new gnome terminal, with the new default profile
5 - Repeat step 2: at some point, when clicking options, all terminals
close/crash.
It is easy to repeat a crash, but not easy to nail an exact sequence of
changes in the profile options.
On ubuntu hardy 8.04.1 dist-upgraded to today 2008-12-10, on a core 2
duo thinkpad T60p.
