** Summary changed: - Synaptic crashes and will not after + Synaptic crashes and will not boot after
** Description changed: Binary package hint: nautilus When I hit the "synaptic" shortcut I created on the taskbar, I get E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed, please report. I went to terminal and tried that- but I dunno what the heck I am doing, so it told me basically to get bent. I now have two laptops running ubuntu - one using 8.04 and one using 8.1 and both now have the synaptic disabled or unavailable. I am not schooled enough to dig into the code and fix it, so anyone who wants to think about some pointers, point on! The current situation happened as a result of trying to install - Konquerer. + Konquerer, while at the same time removing a lot of games to save room + on the old hard drive.
