I noticed that my multiload-applet-2 was using 2.5g of resident memory. (!!) PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 31394 kees 20 0 3098m 2.5g 8304 S 3 32.6 670:05.53 multiload-applet-2 reloading it released the memory (kill -ABRT $(pidof multiload- applet-2)). Running it under valgrind seems tricky...
