Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-media
first, in gnome's sound properites, i select the recording input device.
gnome-sound-recorder won't accept to run if my default recording device is
anything but default ALSA device or OSS.
So, selecting pulseaudio, or my USB-audio ALSA as gnome's default recording
device gets gnome-sound-recorder popup a message saying my device selection is
not clean, then it quits.
result: i cannot run gnome-sound-recorder to record audio from any device but
my in-board soud interface.
Other programs such as audacity or mhwaveedit does work as expected, though.
