Regression from hardy: In intrepid, shutting down the machine lets it
hang after a message that says: "acpid exiting...". The message appears
after the shutdown progress indicator indicates shutdown completion and
screen mode is switched to text mode. The expected power-off does not
occur and the machine need be manually shut off by holding the power
button for a few seconds.
System specs: Samsung T2250 R41 Madea notebook computer running Ubuntu
Intrepid. Bug has persisted from release through updates as by
17/Nov/08. Questions welcome. Thank you for Ubuntu!
