Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better, but unfortunately I've been unable to duplicate your
issue. I use totem daily, to watch various AVI, WMV and MPG files, all
of which play properly on Ubuntu 8.10 32bit using nVidia Corporation
GeForce 8800M GTX. Is it possible for you to upload or send me the
video file you are having problems with, so that I can attempt to
duplicate this issue? I'm not sure what you mean by "image come and
go", so any clarification would be helpful. Also, make sure you have
the latest Ubuntu updates, as well as gstreamer codecs installed.
