Thanks Pedro, * no message is shown after Thu 18, so yes, the problem is reproducible. Just fire up evolution and your messages AREN'T there. ;-) * specific steps: open evolution; click on "Show deleted messages" in the "View" menu so to be sure you're not cheating, open with gedit ~/.evolution/mail/local/Inbox, see that messages more recent than the last shown exist. On the server, there's no message left, because evolution fetched them all already. Despair. * attaching a screenshot of the issue: above there's the evolution GUI, showing no new message since Dec 18. Below, gedit with the Inbox file open, showing an highlighted message from Dec 24 > Dec 18. * the log file is coming.
