The package with the bug is:

(that's the md5sum). I just re-downloaded it from the mirrors e.g.
http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/main/libg/libgnomecanvas/
and double checked. (i386 arch)
The package I compiled, simply removing
90_upstream_correctly_update.patch, and which does not have the bug, is
attached.
This is not a -1ubuntu2 version misunderstanding.
