"Theming all gtk widgets completely falls out of the scope of our color schemes,
they are just meant to define the colors used for syntax highlighting.
If you want a dark background on all text fields choose a gtk theme with such
colors and, if you want, select a color scheme that doesn't set the backround
color so that also the text area of gedit uses the color specified by the gtk
theme
