Public bug reported:

I am having problems trying to replace the Ubuntu logo in the Gnome
menu, with the usual Gnome foot.

I use the default Clearlooks theme (which uses the default Gnome icon
theme, not the Human theme).

In the past it used to suffice to just replace the icon :

/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/distributor-logo.png

and reload the gnome panel. But it doesn't work anymore.
It was then brought to my attention that some of the icons were now cached, and
that I needed to do:

"sudo gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/hicolor" to rebuild the cache or
something
But even after I do that, the Ubuntu logo is still there.

I tried reloading the gnome panel, removing/re-adding the menu applet,
logging out/in, restarting the machine altogether, but still no joy.

What puzzles me is that the ubuntu logo in System->About Ubuntu HAS been
successfully replaced, though. But not the logo in the panel.

** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed
