I produced the backtrace. a side note about producing the backtrace: i had some problems when following the instructions to install the debug symbols. my .gnupg folder was owned by root. --- m...@max300:~/.evolution$ gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key 428D7C01 gpg: failed to create temporary file `/home/max/.gnupg/.#lk0x1f0bc40.max300.7948': Permission denied --- i had to change the owner to my account, but do not know, if that was the right thing to do.
