Feisty 7.4

Despite this setting...

With Preferences > Keyboard > Layout Options
    > Misc. compatibility Options > Shift with numpad key works like MS
windows.

Everything works properly for perhaps 20 minutes. Then, regarless of
operations, suddenly the option will simply stop working, and the SHIFT numpad
keys revert to typical default behavior (not windows like).

This is making my staff crazy. It happens on 4 different machines, and I
cannot understand why no one else has reported it, unless this option is
just so well hidden that most people don't know it's there. *

Anyone that uses windows has years of experience with SHIFT Numpad >
ARROW for navigation, and changing this behavior to a whole other keyset
because of a bug is very annoying.

* PS I would also strongly suggest the distro install prompt users for
this option, as it would go a long way to making windows users more
comfortable. It's one of the first annoying things encountered.

** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
