I just installed Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid on my Sony Vaio VGN T250P and am
experiencing the following serious problems:
1) The screen brightness dims by itself and gets progressively darker and
darker sometimes to almost unreadable levels of dimming.
2)Then I try to use the Fn + F6 key combination to increase screen brightness
but the applet takes a long time to show up and respond to the key command.
Eventually it shows up but then the dimming problem occurs again after a short
while.
