Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
When adding a new launcher to the panel via, say,
Applications->Accessories->Calculator, right clicking, and saying "Add
this launcher to panel", the panel tries to find the most-left free spot
to drop the launcher.
If you have an expandable applet (like the window list applet) on the
left, it will be squished as small as possible. The correct behavior
would be to only squish it as much as needed to add the new launcher.
There's an upstream bug for this with a patch, but I'm also adding a
Jaunty debdiff here.
