Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager
The default totem playback volume in jaunty is nearly inaudible even at
max volume on my Dell XPS M1530. At first I thought audio wasn't working
at all.
The problem is that gnome-volume-control only shows the master volume
control and not the PCM and front channels, which by default are set at
relatively low levels.
The workaround is to run alsamixer, which allows control of the relevant
channels, and to set to PCM and front to maximum, making the output
volume the same as in Intrepid.
