Public bug reported:
Odd things happening with gnome-screensaver on Jaunty Alpha 3
If it helps, compiz is disabled at the moment.
Gnome screensaver kicks in (tried this on blank screen and random) one
processor core hits 100% and stays there. The screensaver works fine the first
time, but moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard doesn't dismiss
the screensaver, it keeps right on going.
Clicking a mouse button causes a cursor to appear, and it seems to be working
on the desktop but the screensaver is still displaying over the top of
everything
(I know the mouse seems to work despite the screensaver being in the way
because when I finally get back to the desktop there will be an empty folder or
two and random other things depending on what I've blindly clicked on.)
CTRL+ALT+F1 doesn't take me to a console, but it does clear the screensaver and
take me back to a corrupted desktop.
CTLR+ALT+F7 seems to sort things out but a quick htop confirms that
gnome-screensaver is still running.
Please let me know of any files I can put up to help.
Cheers
