More info: xfs_check fails on mounted partitions with this ugly messages. If partition is umounted, xfs_check does what it should do, but gparted still fails with message:
/dev/mapper/system-vol1p1: No such file or directory fatal error -- couldn't initialize XFS library glibmm-ERROR **: unhandled exception (type std::exception) in signal handler: what: basic_string::substr /dev/mapper/system-vol1p1 really doesn't exsist. This could be major problem with gparted and LVM partitions. -- gparted segfaults on access to XFS volume on LVM https://launchpad.net/bugs/37272 -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
