Binary package hint: gnome-media
Jaunty originally was using a new gnome-volume-manager that also
incorporated some of the functions of gnome-sound-properties, and so (a)
gnome-sound-properties did not exist and (b) the System / Prefs / Sound
menu item just launched gnome-volume-properties.
Jaunty subsequently reverted to Intrepid's gnome-volume-manager due to
concerns about missing functionality from the new gnome-volume-manager.
However, Intrepid's gnome-sound-properties has not been restored to
Jaunty, so there is currently no GUI means of setting the sound theme
and alert preferences. The System / Prefs / Sound menu item has also
disappeared from Jaunty.
