I am seeing file corruption when copying from a Windows NT4 server to an up-to-date version of Jaunty with a 2.6.29-rc2 kernel (but also using the stock Jaunty kernel) using gvfs. The files in question have NOTHING to do with OOo, they are JPEG's from a digital camera. Files are reliably corrupted every time, the corruption also seems to be more or less identical judging by the way the images are mangled. The NT4 server share is mounted over a (vpnc -...- Cisco PIX) VPN which is also used (without problems) to run a VNC session to the Windows server. Copying the same files from the same server using scp works fine so the files themselves are OK.
The main difference between the problem described in this bug report and my experience is that I get corruption which is unrelated to OpenOffice.org. This bug does not seem to be confined to OOo... -- [gvfs] [smb] Damaged OpenOffice files from samba shares https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267371 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
