My Italian keyboard was not printing the AltGr @, AltGr # and AltGr [
and so on...
I expected changing or verifying the keyboard settings layout from
System→Preferences→ Keyboard is the right way to solve this issue, in
this pc the automatic (not with delay) gdm login was set.
The system don't take care of changes of keyboard layout if the automatic login
is set.
Also testing the new coosed layout into keyboard test field provided by the
dialog window don't reflect any changes.
Disabling the automatic login and set gdm to ask user and password as
usual dress this annoying issue.
