You have been subscribed to a public security bug:
on ubuntu 8.10, I did an security update that was suggested (by the red arrow
on the top right corner) and then I restarted the computer, I couldn’t open new
programs, They just did not open. so I restarted the computer. and then the
login screen (the brown screen with the text box in the middle where we put our
account name and password to open the computer) keep reloading, every second it
reloads and I can’t put my account name and password because I can’t write it
in one second. I did that update 1 hour ago,
