Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager
Ubuntu 8.10 just installed in HP Compaq nx6110, audio card Intel
Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) AC'97 Audio Controller
(rev 03).
Setting master channel to 0% does not completely silence (very low
sound, but not silence) unless PCM is also set to 0% (or muted). In the
same way, setting 0% on PCM does not completely silence unless Master is
also at 0% or muted. Muting on both channels is working.
Tried mostly with Device Intel ICH6 (Alsa mixer), but also happens with
the others.
This did not happen in a previous installation of Kubuntu 8.10 in this
same laptop.
This is the only issue with sound I have detected in my installation up
to now, the rest is working fine.
** Affects: gnome-volume-manager (Ubuntu)
