Confirming.
Matt:
Thanks for the reduced steps.
I've reproduced the problem here and narrowed it down to the following
sequence with a new xchat profile:
1. Start xchat-gnome .
2. Click the OK button when the XChat-GNOME Setup window appears.
3. Go to Edit -> Preferences.
4. Click on Scripts and Plugins.
5. Tick the Perl checkbox.
Expected result:
Perl checkbox to be ticked.
Actual result:
XChat-GNOME crashes with a Segmentation fault.
Additional information:
No plugin settings seem to be rememered after the crash with if some are ticked
before Perl.
Because I have no settings to keep I was able to reset my profile by doing the
following:
gconftool --shutdown
find -iname \*xchat\* -exec rm -r {} \;
** Changed in: xchat-gnome (Ubuntu)
