Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Ubuntu 8.10
Installed: 2.24.3-0ubuntu1
I expected the html email to be rendered in the usual manner of other html
email, within a 2-5 seconds.
What happens is the CPU gets pegged at 100% while it is rendering the email
basically freezing all other applications and the desktop.

There is some strange interaction between html emails from HSN (home
shopping network) with evolution and the nvidia binary driver. The
rendering is extremely slow and pegs the CPU usage at 100%. Other html
email does not show this problem. The problem is also not evident on a
system using the ATI binary driver or on an Intel graphic system. I
also do not see the problem with Thunderbird with the nvidia binary
driver. The html also renders just fine with Firefox. This is the only
site that I have encountered that shows this behavior with evolution.
