I think this bug is not completely a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/325973. I can reproduce that bug as well but if
I check "show_desktop" I can still make this bug happen in the following
situations:
1: mount a livecd (jaunty alpha 5) on a running jaunty machine
2: mount an alternate cd (jaunty alpha 5) on a running jaunty machine
3: booting a live cd (jaunty alpha 5); this is serious as I cannot even install
jaunty with livecd due to this bug
I have attached a screen shot which show show_desktop is checked and I
still get the bug (in this case I use the alternate cd). When I unmount
the cd they disappear, when I mount they reappear.
