$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release: 9.04
$ apt-cache policy gnome-display-properties
W: Unable to locate package gnome-display-properties
$
IOW it is the latest as of yesterday Mar 4th. It has been this way since
I started using Jaunty a month ago.
I have a T400 and when docked I have two external monitors with native
1600x1200 resolution -- one on standard analog D-SUB connector, and
another on Digital DVI connector. When I switch out of mirrored mode
and enable the external monitors with the 1600x1200 resolution (de-
selecting the laptop monitor), the DVI monitor looks blurry -- as if the
refresh rate was not set correctly -- slightly off.
To work around this I switch the resolution of that monitor back to
1280x1040, accept, and then switch back to 1600x1200 again, and the DVI
monitor displays correctly.
What I expect is that the display settings tool will set the correct
resolution and refresh for the two monitors automatically without me
having to fiddle with it.
