This was a problem in Dapper a while ago but should be fixed now. What versions of cupsys, gnome-cups-manager and cupsys-driver-gutenprint are on your system? You can see these by entering the following commands in a terminal: $ apt-cache show cupsys $ apt-cache show gnome-cups-manager $ apt-cache show cupsys-driver-gutenprint
